I FINALLY have my first saltwater tank full of water and pumps running.

I am starting a fishless cycle and currently have 100 pounds of dry rock in the tank. I am in the process of dosing the ammonia to 4ppm (a little at a time so I dont put too much in). I want to add some live rock at some point to start coraline algae growth plus whatever else comes with it (hopefully GOOD stuff).

My question is, do I have to wait for the cycle to complete before adding a piece of live rock or would it be safe to go ahead and add it to the tank (after curing, of course)?

You can cure it in the tank now with doing a fishless cycle . It will release ammonia as well and since there is no fish your good to add it.
