Can i get rockd from the ocean??

There is acouple people that I know that have diving gear and license to go out And get rock and they offered me some.IS IT safe to out rocks that just came out the ocean and dump them in your tank?can I use regular ocean water to do my % water changes?

Unless the water comes from off shore it isn't safe the shoreline acts like a skimmer. There is no reason you can't use live rock from the ocean as long as it is taken legally. There is some rock that is illegal to harvest.

you can always wash the rocks that are on the shore, bleach is a powerful thing and its easy to rinse off.
