Can i onlu put cabon in my filter to get rid of the smell

Can i only put cabon in my filter to get rid of the smell. Also my aqua clear 110 gives too much flow as the water gushes out the fish don't even swim on that side of the tank
I was thinking of getting more live rock and making like a huge hill thing to block off the flow that's pouring down. Would that work? Also can I add cured live rock straight to the system

you could put a baffle so the fatter from the filter doesn't fall and cause to much distruption

What is a baffle??

its a a water fall extension with a lip to it to guide the water along the surface rather then in the water. it also helps for water irragation

a balffle is just a little slide with a curve on the end to make the water flow on the surface rather then drop in. a piece of plexiglass with a slight bend on it would work

You can add some carbon for sure.
