I want unusual and different looking fish for this build. FOWLR and a covered top, my options are endless it seems. But I gotta stick with the list I made. I'm still pretty happy with it.

I have a mix of many different saltwater fish amongst my tanks, but I love my Tangs most of all.

Have you had any thoughts on putting the tomini in this aquarium?

Um, not til this very moment. I don't know, the tomini is very antisocial, he hangs out in his burrow alot but eats and swims fine. He's out swimming around right now, but if I even approach the tank he'll go under his rock. lol

I;mnot sure he could keep up with wrasses and angels..

So it's friday and you all know what that means in careyland. Fish and gear.

I went for a different approach today. No living creatures BUT I did spend $75 and got this:

Konigs Book of Cichlids- Malawi edition This book is normally $50 at my lfs which is theonly place I ever saw it.

A 20lbs bag of new salt mix

AND drum roll please.....

About 250!!! lbs of dry base rock. Most of it is really good stuff too.

So I now have the rock I need to fill out the 125g and fill the new 90g with some to spare i bet!

My SUPER deal of the week!

I now have almost everything for this build but the stand. Not sure what I;m gonna do for lights, keep the quad t5's from my 55g or maybe just buy a new light strip, I don't need anything special for fish only.

Happy day! I love getting a great deal! Craigs list strikes again. LOL

That is a lot of rock. LOL I have huge box in the hatch of my car and the rest is in a 40g or so garbage can sitting shotgun still, I have to take the piecesout one by one til I can remove the darn thing from my car.

really wish I had a place to start cycling this rock, I;ll prbably add like 50 lbs to the 125 later today if I can fit it in.

I say sit on the money and get the gear you'll need first. But thats just my opinion. hehe

I the 90g setup is right around the corner! How exciting! Nice new merchandise. I love getting new reading material about fish, not a huge fan of reading, but I do like reading about fish! I need to get base rock sometime for my 34G, just not enough rock.
