I still have the fish in my 125g with no symptoms of anything wrong.

I think I'll pass on the 55g especially if a fish has something I dont' wanna be sterilizing a tank. LOL

Plus I am selling it. Just havent gotten around to it yet.

I was thinking of getting several schooling fish, a 10g wouldbt be enough for that many fish for 2 weeks would it? I have an extra 20 bucks so I can go get another tank i suppose. Just trying to avoid any more deaths.
I think u got a bad batch of fish. It was most likly the lfs that was at fault didn't u say they did somthing to them before coming to you.. prolly had the new guy do it.. it happens.. I don't think qt ing. Will bother fish for a few weeks..

Edit: nvm once again im 5 pages off

My skink cleaner is still MIA so I'm writing that one off for now. And bad news, my starfish is awful sick. it's got white goo coming from one or two of it's legs.

At what point shall I take it out and dispose of it?

I have a mix of many different saltwater fish amongst my tanks, but I love my Tangs most of all.

I was just doing some reading out on the net for you. If you do a search for necrosis, something may stand out for you. Hope it helps.

Sorry to hear that Carey. Can you move it to a separate tank? Can you cut the legs off above the goo, don't they grow back? I don't know about stars except their amazing ability to regenerate. What a crappy week! My baby girl mandarin died, I'm fairly certain now the tang brought in ich and something else because Chips, my goby and baby girl both had discoloring present and chips had a black hole above his eye. I miss them. The clowns are looking okay, no signs of anything and tomorrow am is the final drop for hypo to get it at 1.009 or roughly 13%. I'll be watching to see how the star is.
