So as I was checking out the job I did on my silicone I noticed some scratches on the main panel. I put in an email for a company that specializes in glass repair and even aquariums. When I fill the tank for testing I'll see how bad it is. One I could feel.

A good scratch isn't going to compromise the strength of the glass. Of course that's dependent on location and how deep it is.

I have about a 3 inch long nick on my 55 that I can feel with my finger but isn't deep or wide enough to put my fingernail in.

The only time I notice it is when I'm cleaning the glass looking for algae spots. So it might not be as bad as you think!

But since the tank is empty it would be best to repair it now if you're going to.

Second screw up! Used ge silicone 2 and I have to re do it. Great. I guess this weekend is out of the question for the move.

Well I stripped the new silicone out cleaned it up with some spirits and reapplied the new aquarium safe silicone gonna let it set till Monday then leak test till saturday morning. Sometime Saturday I'll be moving the stand and tank in to the house.
