Caroline algae

How long does it take to get caroline algae ? I have some on some rocks it's spreading pretty nicely but what about the glass?

Brush it with a toothbrush, gets the spores floating about.

Will that brush it off the current rock though? I don't want it to lose its place

If it does, it'll grow back. I mean, My tank has been up for a short period of time and I have a good amount of it already on my rocks.

No, nothing recently. It isn't anything major, it just started really. Tank is just setting up and such.

I don't mean brush it off, just rub it a bit, lightly, you don't need chunks falling off, just the microscopic spores.
