Chaetomorpha Algae questions

Hi All
Do I need to have a refugium in order to have Chaetomorpha Algae in my system or can I house it in the DT.

It doesn't attach itself to anything and it needs good flow thru it, so I don't know how you would "contain" it in the display. If you could figure out somewhere in your tank that gets good flow and the chaeto won't float away, you can put it there.
