How often does eveybody clean the filter pad that sets on top of your wet/dry filter ,or change it ?

I don't have a wet/dry but I would think when it gets dirty. Not just a little brown but before it starts to scum over. You might be able, depending on what kind of fiber it is, rinse it out a couple of times before trashing it. The time frame will really depend on your bioload and how your tank is set up.

I clean mine weekly. They are nitrate factory so I make sure I clean mine weekly. If you do more, it won't hurt.
