Hi all,
I have a 47 gallon mixed fish reef tank. 5 fishes in total with 50 pounds of live rock and 30 pounds of live sand. I used to have a bunch of hermit crabs and snails. Overtime their population dwindled and now looking to beef up their counts.

What do you think what should be the appropriate numbers of crabs shall I add?

Thanks

Make sure you avoid certain hermits. They will wipe out any snails you have to steal their shells even if the hermit is already too big. I'm pretty sure my blue leg hermits wiped out my R2G snail order of 200 snails within a month. Nasty little guys

I have 2 red and 1 blue in my 80G. I just put extra shells in the tank so they don't kill any snails it also gives them a choice.
