That's the same maker of neutral regulator. I bought neutral regulator because my fresh tank it 7.8 and I even tried triple dosing and all it did was make my water cloudy?

Yeah, not sure what the mesh thing is. Looks like right above it is a magnet glass cleaner.

The glass cleaner is wore out and the mesh.thing is glued to it

Were you using tap water for the fresh water tank? If yes I would PH test it. The Di water should have a naturally lower PH. I don't buffer my cichlid tank because I use crushed coral for the substrate which keeps my PH where it needs to be for them. The buffer works good for my reef with the ro/di water from aquatic critter.

I believe you could fix the PH issue in the fresh water tank by using distilled water in it. What substrate are you using in it? The salt mix you are using should be PH tested before you put it in your tank. So you know if your raising or lowering PH at water changes.
