clownfish biting at anemone?

So I've had two clowns and a bubble tip anemone in the same tank for about 3 months. never saw either host the anemone. Ths morning, the female clown repeatedly keeps going up to the anemone, looking it over and then gently biting on it...almost as if to just investigate. Is this typical behavior before hosting in something?

Both my clowns did the same thing to my bubble tip when they first hosted it, so i think its safe to say its normal behavior when trying to acclimate themselves to host the anemone

Yay!! So happy to hear that! I got them Anne they were very young. They are now starting to pair up and exhibit this behavior so I guess they're growing up! Thanks soo much for the help!!!!
