ok so i just read a thread, and need to make sure im not driving to the place.

here is what i have.

50+lbs of rock. the + is lr from my 75
a fully cycled canister filter (fluval 405)
1 korilia evo 750 (i have a 1400 prop if i need more flow)

currently stocked with
1 midnight nox angel
1 banggia cardinal
1 flame hawkfish
1 lawnmower blenny
1 spiney urchin
1 Protoreaster seastar.

parameters are
ammo 0
nitrites 0
nitrates 5
running at 1.025
pH about 8.1 hard to read for me
and its been about 2 weeks since my last water change

i want to add a pair of clowns.

i didnt realize how much i had in this tank until i typed it all.

what do i need to rethink or correct?

What kind of clowns... Lol... You should be good. U have flow, filtration, and nothing weird that'll attack clowns. Your good.

Do a water change... 15-20%. will bring pH back up.

hahaha this answer has eluded me since the beginning of this tank. it seems like it changes almost on a daily basis. i have learned that false with false and true with true.

aussy black and white with black ice seems to be still in the lead.

if i could afford two black ice clowns i would go that route. but ive seen some really nice snowflakes and ive seen some really nice onyx clowns. we will see what the lfs can do for me.

This is just my opinion, but true percula clowns are really ugly.... I've seen a number of pairs at my lfs and even had one and it just wasn't cute. I would go with an occellaris of some color variation or normal colors or just one maroon.

i was thinking of occellaris. but i like the exotic colors too. petco has some really pretty plain occellaris clowns.

they have very vivid black tipped fins and sharp crisp colors.

probably the best colors and patterns in my area.

Why don't you order them online? There's a whole bunch of different types of clownfish that look cool.

Yeah but the 2 weeks of warranty makes up for it. I'm never buying a fish that is over $50 at the store because I've been screwed over too many times with extremely unhealthy fish that seemed good at the store.
