Completely removing leather coral from rock
I'm transferring stock from a 90g to a nano tank. I have a very nice leather coral (Lobophytum) that is firmly attached to a rock which is encrusted in algae. I'd love to take the coral off of this rock and put it on a new one.
I have read several articles re: propagating a coral, but is there a way to completely move it onto a new rock? Can I cut as close as possible to the rock to take it off, then attach it with toothpicks or super glue gel to a new rock?
