convert this 55

I have a freshwater 55g that I want to convert to a sw fish tank. It has 2 of the larger Whisper filters, plastic grass and white gravel. Will they be OK to use in the fish tank? I plan to use NO lighting also. Please give me some advice. Thanks.

The plastic grass and white gravel won't cut it in a saltwater tank. If using the filters, you would need to get new cartridges. Most of us use live rock and sand, some use cc to aquascape. The lighting is fine if you don't plan on getting corals. I would clean the tank out really well and use new water. Good luck!

when you clean the tank though, don't get fancy. Stick to just water if you can. No Fantastic or stuff like that.

You'll probably also need a powerhead or two i would think. You will also need a heater if you don't have one.
