copperish sand

Quick question to all:

My tankhas been running for about a month and i'm starting to see areas turning a copperish or bronze color.

What is this and is it bad?

probably diatom growth.

This is a natural part of the cycle phase.

Should I stir it up or just leave it as is? Thanks for your help.
