I am treating my 220 gallons tank with CopperSafe for ich. Since a have the ammonia slightly high and therefore need to do some water change, I need to know what's the ppm capper value that I have to maintain in the tank during the treatment to be sure that is effective. I test it once and the reading is at 1.0 ppm. Is that too high?
Thank you,
Daniela

Coppersafe is a chealated form of copper and cannot be read by a standard copper test kit, you have to get a special kit which read chealated copper (Kordon makes one), to get an accurate reading. Copper should be maintained at a level of .15-.20 for therapeutic treatment.

I'm using Dry-Tab of Kupfer which it says read chealated copper. Have you ever heard of it?
Daniela

Never heard of it, but if it will read chealated, it should work. Make sure there are not special instructions to read chealated.
