coral turning brown

Is this considered algae. I'm guessing it's from the lighting, just a poweglo flo tube. Tanks been up for bout 2 weeks. I have a white coral in the center and it's developing brown spots on it. I'm considering getting more lighting in the future.

Probably is algae of some sort although 2 weeks is pretty young to be getting much in the way of algae. I"m assuming you are talking about a dead coral skeleton? Brown usually means diatoms although they usually don't appear in force until the tank is cycled.

yeah, not live coral. I'm not too concerned about it, it is a fairly new tank. Thanks.
