Coralife Super Skimmer 125

I just got tabs on a used Coralife super skimmer 125 w/ pump for $60. It's 3 months old. Good Deal?

This will be for my 125 mixed reef that's currently in the planning stages.

Not a bad deal for 60 bucks, as long as that is the type of skimmer you want!

Its a good skimmer as long as its going in a sump...otherwise its a pain in the rear to get to work. but that is a good deal!

I have a CSS 125 on my 75 and IMO it's a decent skimmer, but I wouldn't use it on a 125. I think a 75 is max for this skimmer, but for that price it's not bad.

Thanks for the notes. I do intend on having this in a sump. But maybe I should look for something bigger? I'm still learning about skimmers and looking for the advice of the experts here.

The Octopus skimmers have been getting real good reviews. I'm looking at the DNW150 Recirculating skimmer for my 75.

Those are pretty impressive reviews, and the price is great. I am looking at setting up a sump as well.

Good luck and let us know if you end up getting one. Seems too good to be true

John
