coraline aglae growth

Your LR should already have some coraline growing on it. As long as you keep calcium and alkalinity levels up, coraline will grow. It may be slow to start, but once it gets started, it'll take off.
 
Cal 400-450 , alk 9-11, you may need to use additives to keep these up. You want them balanced and CA can take months to take off. Do you have test kits for cal and alk? If you do what are your readings.
I use B-ionic 2 part system to dose my tank with cal and alk.
