Your LR should already have some coraline growing on it. As long as you keep calcium and alkalinity levels up, coraline will grow. It may be slow to start, but once it gets started, it'll take off.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Cal 400-450 , alk 9-11, you may need to use additives to keep these up. You want them balanced and CA can take months to take off. Do you have test kits for cal and alk? If you do what are your readings.
I use B-ionic 2 part system to dose my tank with cal and alk.
There are alot of posts on the subject so try a search to get some more info.
