Coraline Algae - confused

So my tank is almost 10 weeks old and Im getting red, purple and green CA on my rocks and hermit/snail shells. Should I be getting this, this early? Is there any benefit?

Some folks try for a long time and can never get it to grow My 180 is loaded with it and my 20 has none even though iv'e seeded it countless times
