5 lbs. should be enough to see your dsb. Wait until the cycle is complete to add a clean up crew. www.saltwaterfish.com has great crews.

Just a thought when I cycle my tanks I use green chromis and they seem to work real well. If you want fish in the tank during the cycle they are nice fish to use because you can keep them in your tank after the cycle and they are pretty peaceful.
