Does anyone put snails or shrimp in their refugium? I've got a small refugium in my sump and have LR, sand, and cheato in there. I know I've seen bristle worms but I'm wondering if I should put any snails or shrimp in there to stir things up? Thanks...

i wouldn't put anything in the refugium that eats algae, or that eats pods. i wouldn't even have anything in there that competes with the pods for food. what does that leave you?

I have critters (snails mostly) that find their way there all the time. I fish them out and put them back in the DT.

I have some snails that made their way down there and a banished red-eye reef crab. There might be some starfish in there too. I put one suspicious one I found as a hitchhiker in there but I haven't seen it in a long time.
