Crushed coral mixed with sand.

Any opinions on crushed coral mixed with sand for a substrate? I currently have a three inch crushed coral base. I purchased a substrate from a classified add, it is sand coral mix. I am thinking of using the newly purchased mixture and removing my existing coral substrate. Just looking for opinions on the matter. Thanks.

Mixing it leads to a mess. The finer sand will settle at the bottom and leave the crushed coral on top. If you want a new substrate, pick one or the other.

+1 I thought to use it as filler, saving a few dollar on sand. Between PHs and wrasses, it looks none too good.
