Cyano, the black death

Ok, so I have been trying to play catch up with cleaning my tank. I knew I had some black crap on my rocks, not alot so was not worried. Last night I stumbled upon the fact that the back of my rocks are COVERED and it is spreading fast...

I know this is cyano and that since my tank is still pretty fresh this is normal. I did a ton of extra reading to make sure I had a solid plan of action as I won't be able to tackle until Monday.

I want to start with chemicals...I know, just hear me out. I want to buy something to knock some of it out due to how large of an issue this is. This will nip it in the butt some IMO. I will then do a large PWC, 15-20%. Will continue to adjust feeding to reduce nutrients and so on, since flakes have to be my issue as my clown is the only thing that eats them. My mysis shrimp get destroyed quickly by my Royal Gamma and Coral Banded Shrimp. No clue what it is my yellow watchman thinks he eats, but he is chilling so thats what matters right now.

Any feedback to my corrective action plan would be great.
