Has anyone ever used the bio-spira additive to speed up the bacteria?

I had very good luck with it my tank cycled in 3 days but iv'e heard others say that they had no luck at all so it's hit or miss i guess If i had to do it over id just get a cup of live-sand from the LFS more goodys in there :)

It's hit or miss with the additives. Although the best rated one is the bio spira I've learned in my journeys. :)

I've used it before and can't really say that it didn't or DID work so its up to you.

If you get some good live rock you can cycle in days or a couple weeks at most. Or you can do it the old fashioned way and either add a raw shrimp for decomposing and getting ammonia or even adding straight PURE ammonia.

Have you read the articles on here about cycling your sw tank? Very good information.
