Cycling

Hey all, I converted my 15 gal eclipse from FW to SW. Put approx 15lbs of Live Sand in there and 10 gallons of water from my 75gal, the other 5 gallons were from RO/DI.

Question is, should I toss a shrimp in there or is it going to be a quick cycle since I used cycled water and live sand???

New live rock or you used the rock form your already cycled 75g?

If new live rock it will start a cycle again.

Live Sand was new. I read somewhere to take some live sand from my display tank and put in my smaller tank too, that would help the bacteria grow...

it will still cycle with the new rock in, but it won;t take as long with the existing sand
