I heard that seeding would help.

Yes you can take a few cups of sand from an established tank and this should help it along, it will speed it up a bit and I recommend you do this, but it is important not to "rush" the cycling process.

This is a quote from a saltwater hobbists I picked up over the last few years. I can tell you who I got if from but I think they got it from someone else so I dont know who coined the phrase first.

But I have to say its very true. If it happens quick its probably not a good thing.

If you get some cured live rock you can speed things up to some degree also.

A good cycle is the basic foundation of your tanks health. A speedy cycle that is rushed could lead to health problems down the road a few months.
