cycling a 33gal
Is it ok to add fresh shrimp from the seafood section in the grocery store to a new tank to cycle it? I plan on adding carib sea aragonite and then the sw, then the dead shrimp. Should I add the lr before or after adding the shrimp?

Sounds like a good idea.
Add the live rock first, then the shrimp. How well cured is your rock? If there's a bunch of dead stuff on it, and it smells funny, you may not need the shrimp to get the ammonia spike.

Cycle the rock with your tank. I would IMO scrub the die off off the rock and then cycle with the shrimp but it can be done also like Dskid said.
