Cycling a tank with mud

If I start my cycle with cured LR/LS, and I put some wonder mud with worms and other critters in my fuge, will there an Amonia spike? Since the LR is cured and the sand is not dead, I believe the spike should be pretty small. I am going to purchase the LR from LiveRock.com so I know there will be some die off due to shipping. I just don't want the spike to kill aff all the little critters in the mud. Or shoul I wait to add the mud after the tank has been fully cycled?
