Cycling methods

Hi guys just got a 60litre orca tank, and i need to know some alternative methods for cycling, iv heard of some using shrimp and one where you use a brackish water fish and let it die off then use it as a source of ammonia ?!? So any advice at this point is very useful thanks
Also for the experts, if i use live rock is it necessary to use live sand?

Well, i dont like cycling with fish. I would say either use pure ammonia or shrimp. Live rock can support the ammonia you are looking for, but not enough. I have yet to see a fully supported cycle from lr. They have always needed help getting over the hump.

So you'd recommend live sand aswell?

Live sand is not worth it just regular old sand will turn "live".
