Cleaned sand and filled tank bout to add instant ocean, dang near had a problem. I was told I could use pool salt instead of instant ocean! Whew! Let it cycle for 3-4 weeks. I would like to add some live rock but want to take it slow. Any advice would be appreciated.

You should add all the live rock you are wanting now, adding it later will prolong the cycle or cause another mini cycle

Some people use artificial rock as base rock and still add live rock...there's a lot of different possibilities!
