dont know why everyone treats substrate like a nuclear warhead. ive handled/changed/ moved prob a dozen tanks with all forms of substrate and ive never had a single issue. just apporach the job with a well-thought out plan, and dont cut corners. you'll be fine. the basics to follow are easy, just dont subject your live rock/coral/inhabitants to the nasty water that will form once you stir up the sand. heck you can take out the old sand, rinse it thoroughly, and even reuse some of it if you feel the need. like i said, as long as you are diligent in following the correct steps, you wont have an issue.
