Diatoms, up close and personal.

There are over 10,000 known species of diatoms... thought also to be the original source of crude oil.

Here's a couple of pics of diatoms scanned under an electron microscope.

The next time you see your Blenny chomping away, you can envision him eating thousands of tiny cool designs.

Wow... Now I want an electron microscope.... Hmmm. Wonder what i would have to sell to get one of those? Anyone in the market for a kidney? Testical?
