Didn't get my tank ordered in time, what to do now?

Well I couldn't find anybody to come look at the flooring in my house so I guess I won't gettting my tank on 7/18 I was planning on 84x24x24 but now I have plenty of time to really thinik this out and think about my overflows and everything. I think 3x250mh's will be fine for a 7ft long tank, do you think I could even get away with a 8ft tank or will I really need a 4th mh?

You could get away with 3 MH on a 7ft tank. Center the three lights over the tank and then put lower lighting coral on the left and right edges where the light is less...

3 MH over a 8ft is pushing it. I think you may begin to see a fairly defined light "dropoff" on the edges. Especially if there is rock casting a shadow. I would add another bulb if it was me.
