Dirty sand

My tank is 6 months old and my sand always looked dirty. What can I do to make it look better.

Also my nitrates are at 4.0 nitrite 0 ammonia 0 also if you can't tell it has a green tint on the sand before this I hade my LEDs off for a week because I had a little bit of hair algae.

What kind/how many fish you got in there? How often are you feeding? My sandbed is always a little dirty, I have 2 x conchs that do a pretty good job of it tho...

I only had one Chromis, aragonite pink I would feed it once ever other day I just added two clown yesterday

Get a goby they keep the sand very clean. But they also are known to jump out of the tank
