Distilled water?

Is it ok to set up a saltwater aquarium with distilled water?

The first 7 yrs of my tank was with distilled water. You`ll be OK. I use RO/DI water now.

for the first 3 months of my tank it was distilled water also but its just easier to buy an RO/DI unit as you don't have to bring jugs back and forth to the store.

i would use distilled water to do an initial fill up though, it will take less time to fill then waiting a day for an RO/DI unit to fill it up
