We acquired an established 72 bow front w/ live rock and sand. We moved the fish, water, and whole setup 200 miles to our home. Every thing is setup & running. The live rock does not look very "alive". The lighting is a Allglass dual 40 watt florescent w/ Coralife 50/50 bulbs. Are we ok with this? We run the lights from 3pm to 10pm. Any advice is appreciated. Newbe's........WJH

It depends, if there are no photosynthetic inverts then that is probably fine, however, I do not think it will support the growth and spread of coraline algae. If the rock is encrusted with pink, purple, green etc... coralline algae, you will want to add another 40W tube or two, if it is not then you should be OK.

Thanks.. They are not encrusted. Just hint of some purple & red. The tank has been running only three days since we moved it, so the water is still a bit silty. The two triggers like to pickup sand and blow it around...
