skimmate is the nasty junk that collects in your skimmer collector cup...the fish poop =p

I remember my seaclone issues. Open the air calve the whole way and leave it for a day. Then start slowly closing the air valve every day until you start to see results.

That's a seaclone alright. See the black end on the airline tubing? Screw it until it wants to come off. Gently screw it in so it is secure and wait. It'll take a week or 2 to tube in.

Yes, that is all you can adjust on seaclone skimmers. You'll want to give it a very minor adjustment after several weeks, when it starts producing skim. Do so gradually as they are touchy units.
