Does LR make LS?

Howdy,

Will LR seed sand making it, eventually, live sand? Or are there a bunch of beasties that are needed to make LS that are with LR?

Good fesh LR will seed sand to make it LS. Having diversity is always good, so if you could get a scoop of LS from an established tank that will help to make sure you get different types of critters that might not be on your particular LR. When I bought my LR, I got pieces from three different LFSs to help seed the tank with different life. Even doing that, I have almost no Stars in the tank at all, except for two I have seen floating around the water column after moving some LR I hope there are some more in there...
