Does red slime remover effect skimmer

I have a BM Nac 6 skimmer and it was doing great until i added red slime remover and a ton of bubbles started erupting out... Is the remover the reason my skimmers going crazy?

I used chemi clean in the past, is a cyano remover,they recommend to turn off the skimmer , I think you probably have to do the same till the water change

Adding things like that will often cause your skimmer to go crazy, yes.

If you going to use chemi clean I would leave the skimmer on but turn in down helps get more oxygen in the water plus will take the dead crap out

Yes, it is the reason for your skimmer acting up. It mentions this effect on skimmers in the instructions last I read them.
