I know I want dry rock for my 20 gallon long reef tank but how many pounds of rock should I get I'm having a hard time finding out.

You should have 1 lbs of rock and sand per gallon. So you'll want 20 lbs of rock and 20 lbs of sand.

Really depends on how you want to aquascape and if you're running a skimmer. You won't need as much if you have a skimmer, but just as much won't hurt. If you're not using a skimmer, at least one lb per gallon.

And not all rock is created equal. Porosity and surface area matter. BRStv has a video on the subject
