Dull White Bristle???

After setting up my tank again I have noticed a few sperate worms climbing on the glass. They look like bristles but are a dull white, almost grey color. Does anyone know if there is any difference between these and the pink or bright white bristles that I had before?? Thanks in advance for the help!!
