Hey guys,

I am having a tough time figuring out this problem. I am noticing that there is a film at the top of my 100 gallon SW tank. I have a frag of zoas, some crabs and snails, 2 clowns,1 cardinal, and 4 chromis. I tested my water and it reads like this

Ammonia: .10
Nitrite:0
Nitrate:0
Ph:8.1
Alk: 11 dkh
Copper: 0
Calcium:400
Salinity:1.023
Temp:80

I honestly can't figure out what it is. I'm doing my next water change on Friday, I do them twice a month. Any help would be great. Thx!!!

Get some flow going on top of water. Usually caused by not enough surface agitation.

Film is usually a lack of surface agitation, try pointing a power head more towards the surface. Also you shouldn't be detecting any ammonia once your tank is cycled. And you should raise your sg to 1.026.
