Filter Question

We're in the process of upgrading to a 125gal. Our only filters are running our existing 55gal. Is it necessary to have a filter running while the new tank cycles?

No filter is necessary however I just make sure you have some type of flow in the tank.

are your filters big enough for the 125? you dont need filtration while cycling, the filter can hold nitrates too.
