finally joined!! please help

4 bulbs for a 12" tank front to back, 6 for 18", 8 for 24". some people on a 90g go with an 8 lamp setup but i know soemone from my LFS that has an * lamp that has two lamps off and using gmann lamps and is able to grow the corals he wants, and thinks even if he went to a 4 lamp would still be fine

these are some PAR ratings between the different lamp brands

KZ were tested and shown on the last post on page 32

total PAR rating with ATI lamps in a 4 lamp system with 2 blue plus a purple plus and a daylight will be at around 1100-1300PAR(depending on ballast type and reflector type) so yes it should be enough to grow what you want, seeing as how SPS corals from what i've read require something like 300-500 PAR
