Yes I'm east coast and as far as I remember so is Carey. Looks like the thing is moving away from us... But I haven't checked the news today. Hoping it's not gonna do a freaky turn like Charlie and Andrew were they just decided to hit in a different spot last second >.<

On a different note: I checked Ammonia at 6am and it hasn't changed. Not surprised though. Will check at later time again but not expecting anything until maybe 2 days in...

Just got home from work and checked my ammonia level: 2ppm
So in roughly 34 hrs it dropped from 4 to 2... Well, guess it's good enough for a start
Gonna sleep now and then check again, may also check nitrite and nitrate just because.

BTW my boyfriend bought the light fixture yesterday. Marine depot.com was offering them with a $100 gift card which we need for the legs and the splash guard. Kinda stupid that you have to order those separately (and they r pricy) but it's already hard to find 60" fixtures AND they really had a good review!
It's the Sunlight Supply Tek 8 bulb 80w... Of course the bulbs do NOT come with the fixture - go figure.

Starting next week I will investigate what bulbs I want. Already started basic research but my head was about to explode LOL

Ok, going to bed now

The tek is a great fixture. I stayed away cause of all the "extra" youhave to buy. You even have to buy the acrylic splash guard.

I;m not sure if it was marine depot is still offereingthe deal now, but they were offering 25% off the bulbs if you bought them there so I would check that out.

I have a mix of many different saltwater fish amongst my tanks, but I love my Tangs most of all.

Oh great, definitely will check that out. Didn't see anything saying that though... Bulbs are ~2 wks away anyways
yes, I hate having to buy the extras but it is so hard to find a good fixture for a 60"! Craigslist and eBay were useless... Kind of saw myself forced to it. My LFS has the 48" on one of their tank and it looks amazing

Ok, now I'm REALLY gonna go nappy

Yeah, I saw that one. He also posted some pics later on, but not a full tank pic. I like for colors to pop, and the fish to show off their true beauty, but I don't like overly blue-ish tanks! A slight blue, or somewhat blue is ok, but can't stand super blue... Makes me feel like an 80's porn or something >.<

I found some pages that kinda help and suggest things, but it is hard to imagine what to do if you don't have example pictures to look at

http://home.comcast.net/~stevelarsen..._combinations/

http://www.practicalcoralfarming.com/t5spectrums.html

If anybody has more links, I TAKE EM
and pictures of tanks and light combo specs are welcome too ;b

Well, I'm just saying that if I would have to associate blue aquariums with something that would be the first thing that pops into my head... And I have no freaking clue why LOL

Next question coffeewitch is also struggling with: PROTEIN SKIMMER!!! bubble-magus vs Reef Octopus. Anybody?
