MH aren't necessary.

Its on the top shelf right now and I doubt he needs all that light. I plan to move him to the end of my rockwall and about 6-8" deeper.

With your lights it doesn't need to be higher up at all, lowering would be fine. It may slough again but don't be concerned.

Im still new and getting ready to set up my 75 gl. i Was Wondering if you need MH's to grow soft coral or is pc's are fine.

No not necessary on the MH. If you purchased something along the lines of a 4x96w PC, you'd be able to keep a good variety of corals including LPS and a few select SPS.
