i've read here some people start off tanks differently...my question is ,do i put the dead rock (30 lbs.) and lr that i will order (20 lbs. to start) and my mix of aragamax (30lbs) with aragalive fiji pink (20 lbs) in and start my cycle..or should put in what to start with...it's a 55 gal with emperer 400 and one power head 1200...200 watt heater and in a month after cycle a skimmer...

The way I did it was to put all the rock in at the same time (cure and uncured) and do the cycle. After that then I added the sand. While the rock was curing I had all my equipment running, except the lights of course. Before adding the sand everything was turned off and waited for the sand to settle. No problems so far. Hope this helps.
