fish ID

hey! so i was curious about a certain fish. I always see them at my lfs and they are always shoving their faces into the sand and then siftting it out through their gills or something but I am always so ammused by it.

Is it a goby? do all gobies do that? or just a certain kind? thanks!

Yup, sounds like a sand sifting goby...what color is it and how big?

diamond sandsifter goby? They are white with orange spots though.
